International Beer Fest is Back for Another Round
(Cleveland, OH) The I-X Center proudly announces the return of International Beer
Fest, the largest showcase and competition of world beers in the Midwest, held May 11
& 12, 2012, at the I-X Center in Cleveland. The event will feature three public tasting
sessions with over 200 stellar breweries from around the world pouring upwards of 800
select beers – tickets are on sale now at www.ixbeerfest.com.
“We were very pleased with the attendance last year, and are looking to build on the
excitement and enthusiasm the event generated,” said Robert Peterson, President, I-X
Center. “International Beer Fest has quickly grown to become the largest beer centric
festival in the Midwest, and we hope to get bigger and better with each installment.”
International Beer Fest features appearances by celebrity brewers, respected authors
and entertaining personalities sharing enlightening industry insights on The
SPEAKeasy, Brew U and Tasting Room stages. From discussions to demonstrations
and food pairings, renowned beer experts reveal how they have shaped the industry and
will meet patrons during interactive sessions (schedules can be found on
www.ixbeerfest.com). In addition to the stages, the Real Ale Bar returns to the show
floor with a variety of cask-conditioned beer, including Founder’s Brewing Company’s
Centennial IPA.
International Beer Fest Features:
Educational programming abounds at Brew U, where beer-centric demonstrations and
discussions presented by regional brewers highlight trends in beer styles, food pairings,
economic developments and sustainable brewing.
The International Beer Fest Awards Ceremony is hosted on The SPEAKeasy stage
between scheduled presentations across all three sessions by some of the world’s most
highly regarded brewmasters and industry professionals.
The Tasting Room offers seminars on food and beer pairings identifying beer flavors
and more.
Vendors specializing in beer-related products offer their wares on the Fest Floor.
Officially licensed brewery apparel and event merchandise will be available exclusively
in the Festival Store.
Live entertainment including a Silent Disco, plus a selection of Cleveland’s premier
Food Trucks and more!
NEW! Mixology Bar and Meads & Cider Showcase, featuring a full-range of unique beer
alternatives.
All features are included with ticket purchase. Patrons keenly interested in exceptional
beers and a unique encounter can also purchase a VIP exBEERience ticket which
includes all of the Fest Features above, PLUS additional tasting tickets, commemorative
t-shirt and access to the VIP Brewers Lounge, where tappings of limited edition beers
not available on the main floor, complimentary hor d’oeurves and the opportunity to meet
